Come to Long Lake during our off-season and enjoy a three-night weekday stay. Settle into one of our beautiful cottages here in the heart of the Adirondacks. It's the perfect place to do some exploring, get some remote work done, or just unwind and relax while enjoying the beauty and solitude of the mountains. Cottages are supplied with fresh linens and towels. Kitchens are well stocked with utensils, cookware, plates, glassware, and more. Every building has WiFi service and a Roku equipped TVs offering access to a broad selection of channels. All cottages are heated and many also have a fireplace or woodstove (wood may be purchased locally), adding an extra touch of warmth and ambiance. INCLUDES: - Three nights in a 2 bedroom cottage (sleeps up to five) - Wifi access and TV with Roku. The perfect off-season stay at Motel Long Lake & Cottages may be the simplicity of a brisk walk around the grounds and relaxing in front of a fireplace. However, there are also many activities available in Long Lake. In addition to exploring our walkable town, during the winter ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing opportunities await. Long Lake is a popular destination for snowmobiling and a great home base for exploring the extensive trail system in the Adirondacks. Many surrounding towns have events of their own throughout the year and Long Lake's central location allows great access. Details: 3 nights / 2 bedrooms / Sleeps up to 5 Restrictions: Book no more than 4 months in advance. Complete all travel within 20 months of certificate issuance. Sunday-Wednesday check-ins. Upgrades may be available during booking. Not valid for holidays. Subject to availability. Must book package within 12 months of purchase. Valid: Valid for stays Fourth Week of October - April 30th.
A note from Saint Mark United Methodist Church of Atlanta: The Yamac House and Rescuers Without Borders passionately believes that all senior dogs, special needs dogs and behavioral challenged dogs should live peacefully and loved beyond measure in their final years as members of a caring family.
Because of our belief, we provide a permanent home for unadoptable, abandoned or soon to be euthanized or homeless, senior dogs across Texas, the United States and across oceans in other countries. We classify seniors as age 8 and over. We give preference to the oldest dogs as well as any that have serious health issues. We also are a sanctuary for paralyzed dogs who would have faced euthanasia if we didn't step in.
Additionally we provide a stable environment for young dogs who need to heal from medical conditions such as amputations, severe wounds, disabilities, etc. These dogs are only with us so they can have the 24 hour care they need to heal before heading off to an approved foster or adopter. We also serve as a safe haven for dogs abandoned in the streets.
Hundreds of dogs have lived because of The Yamac House. We never close our doors to those in need, but we desperately need help to keep our doors open! We rely on donations to continue to provide vet care, food, daily supplies, etc for the dogs already here, and also to save more who need us.
As of right now we are out of room. In order to continue to save lives, we must expand our existing shelter. Without expanding, we can't save the ones who truly need it the most.
This online auction is raising money to support our special needs dogs sanctuary. Auction proceeds will go directly to support buildingan additionalfacility. Thank you to all of the generous donors.
